PORTSMOUTH, R.I., August 3, 2022— Kadey-Krogen Yachts and Summit Motoryachts continues to build on its success and momentum by adding marine industry veteran Jonathan Cooper to its management team. As West Coast Sales Manager, Jonathan will oversee the company’s new Seattle sales office and focus on hiring and overseeing a dedicated sales team in this key market, while managing the customer experience from initial interest to delivery and beyond.
The opening of a West Coast office is a vital component of the company’s strategy to sell direct to the customer to ensure the company delivers the best customer experience for all of its Krogen and Summit Motoryachts customers. In addition to the initial Seattle area sales office, Jonathan will be tasked with identifying opportunities throughout the North American West Coast. Employing the right person to oversee this undertaking is paramount.
“Having someone like Jonathan take a lead role in our strategic expansion is extremely exciting,” said Tucker West, CEO of Kadey-Krogen Yachts. “His prolific background adds a complementary level of experience to our team and will be key in leading our sales expansion efforts. We’ve worked together before, and I’m thrilled I get to do so again in this capacity.”
Prior to joining Kadey-Krogen Yachts and Summit Motoryachts, Jonathan was the art director of PassageMaker magazine, where he was the Editor for four years as well. Before joining PassageMaker, Jonathan had multiple roles at Grand Banks Yachts, including Director of Brand & Marketing and Creative Director and played a key role in facilitating the sale of new boats. Within all these roles, Jonathan developed unique insights to the luxury cruising and bluewater markets and deep personal relationships that will be key to fostering future growth. Jonathan has also traveled the world photographing cruising boats and destinations.
“As someone who has spent most of their career in this market, I am very excited to work with Tucker and the team at the company that essentially pioneered long-distance powerboat cruising,” says Jonathan. “The dedication to new product for both the Krogen and Summit series and the attention to quality will certainly help make my job easier.”
