Krogen 55' Expedition Wins People's Choice Award for Second Time
At the recent Trawler Fest event in Baltimore, MD, Kadey-Krogen Yachts was presented with PassageMaker Magazine's People's Choice Award for their Krogen 55' Expedition. This is the second time the Krogen 55' Expedition has been given this award. John Gear and Larry Polster, president and vice president, accepted the award.
The People's Choice Award was presented on the docks at the Inner Harbor Marina on the final day of the event after over 2,000 attendees had a chance to tour the trawlers and cruising powerboats on exhibit and vote for the best in show. With four boats in the show, Kadey-Krogen Yachts had the biggest display among the dozens of exhibitor boats at Trawler Fest, and the Krogen 55' Expedition was the center of attention throughout the three-day show.
The layout features an open saloon and galley arrangement with top-of-the-line appliances including a Viking range, Jenn-air refrigerator, and Miele dishwasher. The spacious and functional layout of the interior is the perfect complement to the technologically advanced construction of her hull. The boat is often described as a "globetrotter" and there is no question this expedition trawler yacht can take owners to any destination.
"This was our first year holding Trawler Fest in Baltimore and it was great to see a new crowd of boating enthusiasts out on the docks and to hear their comments as they stepped aboard the 55' Expedition. It's boats like this that get people thinking about what's possible," said Rob Dorfmeyer, publisher and general manager of PassageMaker Magazine.
This is the second consecutive Trawler Fest event at which Kadey-Krogen has won this prestigious award. The Krogen 48' North Sea Gratitude won the award at Trawler Fest in July in Warwick, RI. In total, Kadey-Krogen has received the People's Choice award six times - more than any other builder.
The Kadey-Krogen 55' Expedition will be on display at the U.S. Powerboat Show in Annapolis, October 14-17.
