The winter 2008 Waypoints is here and this issue is one not to be missed. It is complete with the introduction of the new Krogen 55' Expedeition, colorful photos from the 30th Anniversary Party and Krogen Rendezvous, and the winners of the second annual photo contest.
Yet again the entries were, without a doubt, jaw-dropping and inspirational. It truly is amazing to see the beauty of the travels these Krogenites encounter. From breath taking sunsets, to tranquil anchorages, a true testimonial that the boating lifestyle is one of a kind. You may view the photos by clicking here: http://www.kadeykrogen.com/photos
The first place prize, a $500 West Marine gift certificate, goes to Bruce and Janet Smith, Krogen 42' No Call for the photo taken in St. John's River, FL. The colors and depth draw you right in.
Second prize, a $250 West Marine gift certificate, goes to Craig and Pam Mudge, Krogen 42' Moonstar in Georgian Bay's North Channel, Long Point Cove. The pine creates a peaceful, almost mountainous feel.
Third prize, a $100 West Marine gift certificate, goes to Chuck and Barb Shipley, Krogen 48'North Sea Tusen Takk II in St.Kitt. They look to be the only people to exist on that beautiful island.
Honorable mentions grew this year as the judges had quite a difficult time deciding amongst the gorgeous and interesting shots. We would like to thank Charlie and Marsha Corbett, Krogen 48' Whaleback Friendship, Peter Goddu and Margaret Langlie, Krogen 48' North Sea Rubenesque, Carol Thomas, Krogen 48' Whaleback Fluke, Chuck O'Brien, Krogen 42' Mystic Moon, Jerry Mahoney, Krogen 39' Sculpin, and Chuck and Barb Shipley, Krogen 48' North Sea Tusen Takk II.
We thank you for all of your entries and hope you all will continue to share in your adventures by sending us your photographs as you journey the world aboard your home away from home.
